Nature Bingo

Let's Play
Nature Bingo!

We are proud to offer Nature Bingo, a community game of bingo that encourages students and community members to get outside and spot the unique animals we share space with in San Diego!

This game was developed by Skype A Scientist, a non-profit organization that strives to make science accessible and fun through personal connections with scientists, in collaboration with Franklin Elementary PTA for our San Diego community.

The goal of the game is simple: Try to spot all of the animals in a horizontal, vertical or diagonal line and mark them as you go. When you have a completed line, you win!

We are also pleased to partner with the Kensington-Normal Heights Library, who are helping us engage with the community that surrounds Franklin Elementary STEAM Magnet by making the game available at their branch to anyone who lives, works, or plays in Kensington, Talmadge, Normal Heights and City Heights! (Students, you'll get your cards at school!)

We are offering this game to build community, raise awareness of the animals we share space with, and in celebration of the National PTA's 125th Anniversary. For 125 years, PTA has been working to make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children, and we are proud to help advance those goals.

We hope you have fun and enjoy San Diego's great outdoors!

The National PTA has been making a difference for 125 years to make every child’s potential a reality, and they are celebrating this big anniversary with PTA Day of Service events! The PTA Day of Service is an opportunity for local units— like Franklin Elementary PTA—to advance the PTA’s mission, by showing how we work to meet the diverse needs of the families in our community.

Nature Bingo is an example of one of the ways Franklin Elementary PTA works to strengthen community bonds, promote healthy living, encourage a life-long love of learning, and respect the time and bandwidth of our community members by offering events and programs that are accessible and inclusive of all. We hope you have fun with our Day of Service program, and thank you again to those who collaborated with us to make this possible!
